Alpha Reseller Hosting FAQ
What is alpha reseller hosting?
The largest of our three reseller tiers. You get WHM, and inside it you can create cPanel accounts for clients and WHM accounts for resellers under you — with a bigger allocation of disk, bandwidth and accounts than either tier below.
How is it different from regular reseller hosting?
Two things: size and depth. Plain reseller hosting gives you cPanel accounts only; alpha adds reseller accounts beneath you and a much larger allocation. If nobody will resell under you, the plain tier is cheaper and does the same job.
Can I create unlimited cPanel accounts?
Only on the Unlimited plan. The others state 30, 50, 80, 120 and 250 — the comparison table above shows exactly which plan gives which, and it is the number worth choosing on. What every plan does carry is an unlimited WHM-account allowance, meaning the resellers you create.
Can I use my own nameservers?
Yes. Every plan in this line states private nameservers, so you register something like ns1.yourbrand.com, point it at the server, and your clients and resellers configure your nameservers rather than ours.
Is a domain reseller account included?
On most of them. Four of the six state a free domain reseller entitlement and two do not — the comparison table above marks each one, and where the catalogue is silent it prints a dash rather than a tick. Ask us before you buy if it matters for the plan you want.
Why are some plans monthly and others yearly?
Because that is how they are priced in our billing system — Basic and Smart are set up annually, the rest monthly. Rather than convert one into the other and risk showing you a figure you would not be charged, each tab lists the plans that term really covers.
Is this a dedicated server?
No, and we would rather say so plainly. These are reseller accounts on shared infrastructure with a large allocation and full WHM. If you need a machine of your own, compare our VPS plans instead.
What kind of support do I get?
